General Manager – Family-Run Pub
Lead a Thriving, Community-Focused Pub
We're looking for an experienced, passionate, and hands-on General Manager to lead one of our successful family-run pubs.
Our business enjoys a healthy 50/50 split between wet and food sales, with a 100+ cover restaurant, extensive outdoor spaces, and a dedicated sports bar showing live sporting fixtures and hosting regular events throughout the year. We pride ourselves on being a true community pub that welcomes everyone.
As one of three family-owned pubs, we've been proudly operating in the hospitality industry for over 21 years, building a reputation for quality, consistency, and genuine hospitality.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Area Manager, and working alongside the Executive chef, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the pub, leading an established team while ensuring exceptional customer service, strong financial performance, and a positive working culture.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a manager who enjoys being visible on the floor, developing people, and driving an already successful business even further.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire both front and back of house teams.
- Deliver outstanding customer experiences every day.
- Drive food and beverage sales while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop your team.
- Manage labour and stock control.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, food safety, and health & safety regulations.
- Work closely with the Area Manager and owners to continue developing the business.
- Champion a positive, family-friendly atmosphere while maximising trade across all areas of the pub.

You lead by example, setting the highest standards of service and inspiring your team to do the same. Going above and beyond for our guests comes naturally to you, and you'll coach and develop your team to deliver that same level of care every single day.
You'll take pride in building relationships with our regulars, welcoming new customers, and creating a pub that people want to return to time and time again. We want someone who treats the business as if it were their own—someone who is passionate, driven, and committed to delivering exceptional hospitality.

Pay: £33,000.00-£36,500.00 per year
