Responsibilities and Duties
- Fabricate, assemble, and install stainless steel components, pipework, and machinery used in food processing environments
- Carry out TIG welding and pipe welding to food-industry hygiene standards, including small- and large-bore pipework
- Perform equipment fitting, mechanical installations, and maintenance of food-grade machinery and fluid power systems
- Read, interpret, and mark up technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Work closely with site managers, engineers, and other trades to deliver safe, efficient, and hygienic installations
- Maintain and care for welding/fitting tools and equipment while adhering to strict food safety, quality, and workplace health & safety standards
Experience and Requirements
- Must possess extensive TIG welding experience
- Current welding certifications (recently expired certifications may be acceptable contingent upon the ability to successfully requalify prior to employment).
- Must either have a welder qualification and/or a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a welder.
