H & J Speake is a family owned manufacturer of Zinc & Aluminium Die Castings. Operating from a single site in Willenhall we service a number of the UK’s market leaders across various industries.
We are looking for somebody to join our team as a Factory Operative.
The position involves:
- Mind and manage a range of Zinc high pressure die casting machines to produce products. Full training will be provided, no previous experience necessary.
- Pouring of molten Zinc into die casting machines. PPE and full training provided.
- Cleaning machines after each production shift ready for next shift.
- Ensuring parts are manufactured to the required standard and alerting quality staff if not.
- Secondary operation work (drilling, tapping, presswork, linishing) when required.
- Packing of parts once produced.
- Shrink wrapping of pallets to be sent to customers/suppliers.
- Other adhoc factory duties
Requirements:
- Previous foundry experience preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience working in a factory/warehouse essential.
- A good attitude and an eagerness to learn new skills if no previous experience.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Punctuality and reliability a must.
- Physically fit with the ability to perform manual tasks.
Hours are 6.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 6.00am - 3.00pm Friday. No Shift work. No Weekend work.
