Cleaning Team Leader (Full-Time, Self-Employed)Job Purpose
Juniper Property Services is seeking a proactive and reliable Cleaning Team Leader to oversee and support our cleaning team while acting as the secondary on-site contact for the Cleaning Team.
As the Cleaning Manager is based in Stirling, this role requires someone who can work independently, take shared ownership of day-to-day operations, and confidently resolve issues as they arise. The successful candidate will ensure exceptional cleaning standards, support operational requirements, manage stock and inventory, and maintain excellent communication between the site and the Juniper Property Services Supervisor and Manager.
This is a full-time, self-employed position.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
- Access to their own reliable vehicle, as regular travel between properties is essential.
- The ability to work on a self-employed basis.
- Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays when required.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Cleaning
- Lead, support and motivate the cleaning team to consistently deliver high standards.
- Carry out cleaning duties alongside the team where required.
- Monitor quality standards and address any issues promptly.
- Ensure all team members use Connecteam correctly for schedules, checklists and daily updates.
- Assist with the training and development of new team members.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Carry out regular inventory and stock checks, ensuring cleaning supplies are replenished before they run low.
- Support the Cleaning Supervisor and Manager with allocated tasks using Asana and Hostaway.
- Act as the main on-site contact for guests, responding professionally to enquiries and resolving minor issues where possible.
- Report maintenance issues, damages and urgent concerns promptly to the Cleaning Manager.
- Maintain excellent communication with the Stirling office throughout the working day.
Independent Working & Problem Solving
- Manage the day-to-day running of the site independently in the absence of on-site management.
- Make informed decisions to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Identify opportunities to improve cleaning standards, operational efficiency and the overall guest experience.
- Escalate significant issues appropriately while taking ownership of routine matters.
Health & Safety
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and COSHH regulations.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and chemicals are used safely and correctly.
- Promote a safe working environment for colleagues, contractors and guests.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within the cleaning or housekeeping industry.
- Experience leading or supervising a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Confidence using digital platforms such as Connecteam, Asana and Hostaway (or the willingness to learn).
- Good stock control and organisational abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- A sound understanding of cleaning standards and COSHH requirements.

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
