We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Activities Coordinator to join our warm and dedicated team at Woodlands Park, a care home in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire.
This role offers flexible hours to suit you. We can consider full-time or part-time, mornings or afternoons, so please do get in touch to talk through what works.

About the role
As Activities Coordinator, you'll be the heartbeat of daily life at Woodlands Park. You'll take the time to get to know each resident, their interests, hobbies, life stories and personal goals, and use that knowledge to design and deliver a varied, engaging and person-centred activities programme that genuinely enriches their lives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering a varied weekly activities programme, from one-to-one sessions to group events and outings
- Getting to know residents individually to ensure activities reflect their interests, backgrounds and preferences
- Promoting independence, choice and dignity in everything you plan and deliver
- Helping residents stay connected with their local community and the wider world
- Keeping accurate records of activities and resident engagement
- Working collaboratively with care team members, families and external entertainers or volunteers
What we're looking for
- The right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship)
- Previous experience in an activities, wellbeing or similar role within a care setting (essential)
- A creative, enthusiastic and person-centred approach
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The confidence to lead group sessions as well as work one-to-one with residents
- Self-motivated with the ability to use your own initiative
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of older people
- A warm, friendly and resilient personality
