About the Role:
RBVE is seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead new business growth and secure strategic commercial opportunities.
This is a senior, hands-on sales role for an experienced business developer who thrives on creating opportunities, engaging decision-makers, and closing complex B2B sales.
You will take ownership of the entire sales cycle, from identifying target accounts and generating leads through to discovery, solution development, proposal preparation, negotiation, contract award, and seamless handover to operational teams.
You will play a key role in helping customers understand how RBVE's manufacturing capabilities and social impact proposition can deliver value to their organisations.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute an effective new business development strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify, research, and prioritise target accounts and market opportunities.
- Generate qualified leads through networking, outreach, referrals, and market intelligence.
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Conduct customer discovery meetings to understand business challenges and requirements.
- Design compelling solutions that align customer needs with RBVE's manufacturing capabilities.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and business cases. Lead commercial negotiations and secure profitable contracts.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines, and forecasts.
- Work closely with operational and delivery teams to ensure successful contract handover and implementation.
- Represent RBVE at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential:

Proven track record of delivering new business sales within a B2B environment.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles from prospecting to contract close.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and managing sales forecasts.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive results.

Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or related sectors.
- Knowledge of public sector, social enterprise, or social value procurement processes.
- Experience selling tailored solutions rather than off-the-shelf products.
