Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Registered Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a comprehensive care facility. This vital role involves ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient-centered care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a positive environment for both residents and staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, assisted living, or related healthcare settings, combined with excellent leadership and organizational skills. As a Registered Manager, you will be instrumental in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging community for individuals with diverse needs, including those requiring dementia or Alzheimer's care, hospice support, or specialized assistance for individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall operation of the care facility, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety are consistently met.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices in healthcare management.
- Supervise and support staff members across various departments, including nursing, caregiving, administrative teams, and specialists in areas such as medical imaging or laboratory services.
- Oversee medication administration processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans for residents, including those requiring dementia or Alzheimer's care.
- Monitor clinical practices such as anatomy knowledge application, patient care procedures, and case management strategies to optimize health outcomes.
- Manage budgets, staffing schedules, training programs, and performance evaluations to maintain an efficient operation.
- Foster a compassionate environment that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life for all residents.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining thorough documentation of all operational activities.
- Engage with families and external agencies to communicate effectively about resident needs and facility services.
Experience
- NVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care/Young People's Workforce (historical equivalent's are accepted)
- Level 5 - Health & Social Care or Leadership and Management - working towards is also acceptable
- Proven experience working within assisted living facilities or nursing homes with a strong understanding of senior care principles.
- Demonstrated supervising experience managing diverse healthcare teams in fast-paced environments.
- Background working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's disease care techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with hospice care practices and ICU experience enhances your suitability for this role.
- Experience in case management, home care services, or medical imaging is beneficial.
- Strong management skills complemented by excellent organizational abilities are required to oversee daily operations effectively.
- Prior involvement in medication administration protocols and laboratory procedures is preferred.
