About the role:
Are you passionate about supporting adults to live independently and achieve their goals? We are looking for a caring, motivated, and reliable Support Worker to join our Outreach Team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
Working across the London Boroughs of Lewisham, Newham, Bromley, and Greenwich, you will provide person-centred support to adults in their own homes and within their local communities, helping them develop skills, maintain independence, and improve their wellbeing.
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Provide practical and emotional support tailored to the peoples needs.
- Support people to access their local community, appointments, education, employment, and leisure activities.
- Assist individuals with developing life skills, including budgeting, cooking, tenancy management, and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Promote independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion.
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to support plans and risk assessments.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the people we support.
Hours:
Part time position available- 30 hours per week.
Fix term to cover maternity leave.
Location:
Working across the London Boroughs of Lewisham, Newham, Bromley, and Greenwich.
About you:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for supporting adults with varying support needs.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is compassionate, patient, and committed to providing high-quality support.
- Can work independently and manage their time effectively.
- Has good written and IT skills for recording support provided.
- Has experience in health and social care (desirable but not essential).
- Is willing to travel across Lewisham, Newham, Bromley, and Greenwich.
