Job Summary:
We are recruiting for Kitchen Cook
Kitchen Cooks will prepare and serve meals for residents, ensuring dietary requirements and food safety standards are met. This role is key to supporting the wellbeing of our residents through nutritious and well-presented food.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present meals according to menus and dietary needs.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and follow food safety regulations (HACCP).
- Assist with menu planning, stock control, and kitchen organisation.
- Keep the kitchen and equipment clean and in good working order.
- Work closely with care staff to support residents’ dietary needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook, ideally in a care or catering setting.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and meet dietary guidelines.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a team.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Treharris CF46 6AA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
