Colour Maestro / Makeup Artist (Full Time 40hrs, 5 days, Inc. Weekends)

Code8, a London-born luxury beauty brand, is seeking a skilled Makeup Artist and Colour Maestro to join our esteemed team. As a representative of Code8, you will embody our effortless, high-performance make-up-for-all ethos through expert advice and professional artistry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Code8 at our London store and off-site events, offering expert advice and showcasing the brand’s ethos.
- Host in-store bespoke lipstick appointments, including Express and Full Makeovers, delivering an exceptional level of customer service.
- Act as a Colour Maestro at the Bespoke Lipstick Bar, guiding customers in creating their own personalised lipstick shade.
- Collaborate with the in-store team to plan and execute an all-year-round event calendar.
- Be flexible to work across various Code8 locations within London and the UK as required.
- Adhere to a retail working pattern, including weekends, in an appointments-based environment.
- Meet Sales Targets: Proactively drive sales to meet and exceed targets, contributing to the overall success of the business.
- Support BOH Operations: Assist in back-of-house operations, including stock management, stocktaking, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Essential Skills:
- Team player with a collaborative approach to achieving collective goals.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in line with Code8’s premium standards.
- Understanding of KPIs and confidence in achieving or exceeding them.
- Strong boutique retail skills, including store opening/closing, visual merchandising, and maintaining a pristine retail environment.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working both independently and as part of a team.
- Polished, professional appearance in line with Code8’s dress code and brand image.
Makeup Artistry Skills:
- Provide personalised product recommendations based on expertise in makeup artistry, client needs, and brand values.
- Demonstrate excellence in product demonstration, link-selling, and upselling to enhance the Code8 experience.
- Proficient in a range of makeup techniques including contouring, highlighting, complexion correction, and eye/lip artistry.
- Strong understanding of colour theory to create harmonious, bespoke lipstick shades.
- Confident in mixing and creating bespoke shades using raw pigments and the lipstick lab machine.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven sales and customer service skills with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in relationship building and maintaining long-term client connections.
- Background in boutique retail, including visual merchandising and operational excellence.
- Passion for the makeup industry, with awareness of current trends and innovation.
