Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to residents in care homes or individuals receiving home care. This role involves assisting with daily activities, supporting care plans, and ensuring the well-being of those in your care. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Follow individualised care plans to meet specific needs and preferences
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Ensure a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Support the organisation of activities that promote mental and physical well-being
- Drive residents or clients when required, ensuring safe transportation
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of care plans and procedures related to personal care and health monitoring
- Proficiency in IT systems used for record keeping and communication within healthcare settings
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of residents or clients
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
Pay: £12.71 per hour
