Location: Surbiton, Greater London
Salary: £14.00–£14.50 per hour
Contract: Bank (Zero Hours)
Hours: Flexible bank shifts available. The majority of shifts are 7:00am–4:00pm, with regular opportunities to work Fridays and alternate weekends, depending on the needs of the home.
Join Our Care Home Team
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Cook to join our friendly care home team in Surbiton.
Food plays an important part in our residents' wellbeing, and we're looking for someone who enjoys preparing delicious, nutritious home-cooked meals that make a real difference to people's day. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will ensure residents receive high-quality meals that meet their dietary needs, personal preferences and nutritional requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing great food while working in a rewarding care environment.
About the Role
As our Care Home Cook, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing fresh, home-cooked meals and snacks for residents.
- Catering for specialist diets and individual preferences.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Managing food stock and working within agreed budgets.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
- Working closely with the Home Manager and wider care team to provide an excellent dining experience for residents.

Qualifications
Ideally, you will have:
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Catering (or an equivalent catering qualification).
- Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
