Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Facilities Operative to join our team. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and facilities to minimise downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues using schematics and technical documentation.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
- Assist with installation, modification, and upgrade of plant equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Support junior staff or contractors during maintenance tasks when necessary, providing leadership and guidance.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or assistance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to supervise or lead teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and procedures in a maintenance environment.
