North Devon Resort is a large holiday resort in Ilfracombe, Devon, which includes a variety of holiday services and commercial areas including a swimming pool, bar and restaurant.
We are now looking to recruit a full time Maintenance Assistant to work at the resort.
Key responsibilities:
Day to day general maintenance around the site including:
· Maintenance of all external areas
· Electrical and plumbing works to a high standard
· Painting and decorating to a high standard
· Basic joinery/ carpentry
Carrying out initial inspections of reported faults and making appropriate repairs, ensuring that records are kept of all repairs
Completion of statutory compliance testing – including but not limited to: monthly water temperature tests, monthly emergency lighting tests, flushing of LUOs (little used outlets)
Person Specification:
Experience of electrics & plumbing (must hold relevant qualifications)
Experience of general maintenance e.g. painting, electrics, joinery and carpentry
Working understanding of Health & Safety legislation
Excellent attention to detail
Highly motivated
Experience in working successfully as part of a wider team
Strong communication and influencing skills
Achievement focused
Good time management
Hours: Variable
Contract type: Seasonal
Salary: National minimum wage / dependent on experience
