Job Purpose
As a Games Master, you’re the heart of our escape room experience. You’ll guide players through their adventures, create an engaging atmosphere, and ensure each game runs smoothly from start to finish.
Contract & Shift Details
This is a 0-hour contract, meaning work hours are not guaranteed and will vary based on bookings.
Shifts are scheduled between 10 AM – 4 PM or 4 PM – 10 PM, Monday to Sunday.
During your shift, you’ll be on-call and required to attend the venue only when a game is booked.
Customers can book up to 1 hour in advance, so you must be able to arrive within 45 minutes of notice (as you’re expected on-site 15 minutes before the game).
You’ll typically be on-site for 1.5 hours per game (15 minutes for setup and greeting, 1 hour for gameplay).
You’ll be paid for 1.5 hours per game.
Some shifts may be busy with back-to-back games, while others may have fewer bookings — however, you are expected to remain available during your scheduled shift window.
Availability Requirement:
You must be available to work weekends and school holidays, as these are our busiest periods.
Main Duties
- Greet customers warmly, confirm bookings (via Resova), and prepare them for their game.
- Deliver engaging pre-game briefings following the script and checklist.
- Supervise and monitor games via CCTV, providing hints or assistance when required to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
- Conduct post-game debriefs, take team photos, and encourage return visits.
- Reset game rooms to specifications and complete post-game social updates.
Additional Duties
- Clean and maintain game rooms and props between sessions.
- Perform light repairs and report issues to the Duty Manager.
- Distribute promotional materials and represent the company at events.
- Assist in building, testing, and preparing new games or locations.
Responsibilities

- Represent the brand positively at all times.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required — full training provided.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable observing and managing players via CCTV.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
- Reliable and punctual, with flexible availability.
- Must be 18+ and able to reach the venue within 45 minutes during assigned shifts.
- Must be available to work weekends and school holidays.
Job Types: Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
