Medhurst Care Home in Risca. We currently have an opportunity for a Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our lovely home and be a part of our friendly team. We take pride in providing a welcoming and clean environment for our residents and their visitors, our housekeeping and laundry staff play a valuable and key role in achieving this. You should be able to show an understanding of Health & Safety, Infection Control, COSHH and the safe storage and handling of cleaning products.
We are currently seeking Bank (Zero Hours) staff to help cover in times of holidays or other absenses. Working between Monday and Sunday, working hours between 7am-14.30.
Please be aware that as a meber of our bank staff you should be flexible and able to cover any shifts required, sometimes at short notice.

Your duties may include (but are not limited to):
- General cleaning duties around the home and residents bedrooms, including bathrooms and toilets
- Making sure that all areas of the home are tidy and presentable
- Deep cleaning around the home periodically
- Laundry services including washing, drying and ironing,
On successful completion of a 3 month probationary period, staff have access to a healthcare benefits scheme.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Services ) check, the cost of which will be met by the candidate, this can be paid through wages if preferred.
Pay: £12.75 per hour
