Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team at Pardovan Playpen Café as a Team Member. This role involves providing excellent service in a lively, family-friendly environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the overall operation of the café. Previous experience in food service is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry while working in a dynamic setting. Must have experience with a barista coffee machine.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee and specialised drinks, adhering to quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items meet safety and hygiene regulations.
- Serve customers efficiently with a friendly and professional attitude, taking orders accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
- Manage cash register operations, including handling payments accurately and providing correct change.
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with additional tasks such as stock replenishment and cleaning.
- Uphold health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or background in serving food and beverages is desirable .
- Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred.
- Basic maths skills to handle transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Excellent organisational skills with an organised approach to work responsibilities.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
