Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen environment. This is an evening position.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring ingredients are ready for cooking and serving.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff during service by providing assistance as needed.
- Ensure all kitchen waste is disposed of properly and that recycling protocols are followed.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as required.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous.
- Basic cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering excellent service.
