Job Introduction
We are currently seeking a Quality Goods In Support to work within our fast moving, dynamic growing business. We manufacture and supply high volume soft drinks principally to the UK market.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure that incoming materials and packaging are delivered to the agreed specification. You will be required to retain samples / conduct analysis as and when required. Including management of controlling quarantine and trial stock.
Ideally the successful candidate will have the following skills:

Previously worked in the food industry and gained experience of raw material specifications / packaging checks.

Understand the role of each raw material / packaging within the process.

Laboratory / QA Experience.

Attention to detail.
-
Able to problem solve / take the initiative. Understand preventative and corrective actions.

Ability to work closely with the goods in team and stock controller to monitor items that are in quarantine. Ability to carry out regular non-conforming stock checks whilst also monitoring and recording of short dated stock.

Ability to work unsupervised.

Trained in food hygiene / HACCP.

Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise own workload.

Problem solving skills.

Good communication skills (internally and with suppliers).

Experience of being able to support suppliers/external visitors while on site during trials.

Able to Inform new suppliers of requirements regarding quality documentation on arrival.

Experience of working with Microsoft packages, primarily Word and Excel.
Example of typical duties:
- Support Goods-in to monitor the condition of goods on arrival.
- Complete Raw material checks against specification and are stored in the correct location (chilled, ambient etc.)
- Check the CofA / quality against specification prior to the goods being used in production.
- Take reference samples and store in a logical manor.
- Check packaging samples and carry out testing / analysis to agreed sampling plan including opening force .
- Monitor BBE dates and request extensions / quarantine as appropriate and communicate to relevant departments.
- Place raw materials / finished product etc. in quarantine as required. Ensure all documentation is completed.
- Complete allergen labelling.
- Check, collate and file documentation that has been completed as part of the quality system.
- Carry out quality audits / additional quality assessments as required.
- Complete bulk tasting and retention sampling.
- Provide support for Quality Goods Team Leader when required/cover absences.
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 08:30am until 17:00pm
