Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, IPC ( infection prevention control) and hygiene standards across the care home, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individual who take pride in their work and enjoy creating tidy, organised spaces. Prior experience in janitorial services, hotel cleaning, or commercial cleaning is highly desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, surfaces, and fixtures
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls as needed
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good condition and stored properly after use
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet or upholstery cleaning if required
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not mandatory
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within set timeframes
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service
- Basic cooking skills are considered a bonus for roles involving hospitality environments
- Flexibility to adapt to different cleaning routines and schedules as required
