We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Legal Secretary to join our professional legal team. Duties
- Prepare and type legal documents, correspondence, and reports using audio typing and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Manage and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Organise appointments, meetings, and court dates, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
- Liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, and external agencies through professional communication channels.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring deadlines are met with precision.
- Assist with the organisation of legal research and data collection as required.
- Handle incoming calls and correspondence promptly, maintaining a professional image at all times.
- Support IT-related tasks to ensure smooth operation of office equipment and software systems.
Experience
- Proven administrative experience within a legal environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in audio typing with high accuracy rates is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for effective liaison with clients and team members.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) is mandatory.
- Familiarity with IT systems relevant to legal practice management is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
