Restaurant & Bar Supervisor
Location: Pho & Roll, 15–19 Jeffrey Street, Edinburgh EH1 1DR
Pay: £13.50–£15.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time, Permanent
Pho & Roll is looking for an experienced and reliable Restaurant & Bar Supervisor to join our team in Edinburgh Old Town.
You will support the management team with the day-to-day running of the restaurant and bar, help lead the Front of House team during service and make sure our guests receive friendly, efficient and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise restaurant and bar operations during assigned shifts
- Lead and support Front of House and Bar team members
- Allocate duties and organise staff breaks
- Help ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods
- Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness and presentation
- Support opening and closing procedures
- Help train and support new team members
- Handle guest enquiries and minor complaints professionally
- Monitor bar and restaurant stock during service
- Ensure drinks are prepared and served consistently
- Support cash handling and till procedures when required
- Work closely with the kitchen and management team
- Ensure food safety, allergen awareness, licensing and health & safety procedures are followed
- Lead by example and work alongside the team during busy services
What We’re Looking For
- Previous restaurant, bar or hospitality experience
- Previous supervisory or team-leading experience is preferred
- Confident working in a busy restaurant environment
- Friendly, professional and reliable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable leading and supporting a team
- Good customer service skills
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends
- Bar or cocktail experience is an advantage but not essential
