Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 heavy goods vehicle equipped with a tipper mechanism, delivering materials efficiently to various sites while ensuring compliance with all safety and road regulations. Your expertise in commercial driving and delivery operations will contribute to the smooth flow of our supply chain, supporting aggregate deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle with tipping capabilities, adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure the tipper truck is in optimal condition before use
- Load and unload materials accurately, ensuring secure transportation and proper handling of cargo
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining safety and compliance
- Assist with loading specialised equipment when required for specific deliveries
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with tipper trucks or similar heavy vehicles
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for heavy vehicle operation
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading materials and inspecting equipment
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with route planning tools
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and customer service
