Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The successful applicants will conduct all aspects of planned and unplanned maintenance & inspections of trailers, to ensure all trucks and trailers are safe, roadworthy and legally compliant.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 - 17:30 Saturday 8:00 - 13:00
Responsibilities
- Routine maintenance, service and repair of trailers
- Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic software.
- Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Pre PSV inspection & preparation
- Assist with maintenance of HGV vehicles
- Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems
- Ideally hold an industry recognised qualification or 2 years’ minimum experience in a similar role
- Must speak & write in fluent English and be a resident of Northern Ireland
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Ability to identify faults and determine effective repairs
- Welding experience preferred
- HGV licence preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Awareness of health and safety standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,420.00-£32,000.00 per year
