Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. Duties
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to observe activity across the site.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by recognising suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, including emergencies, alarms, or unauthorised access.
- Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
- Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries in a courteous manner.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary, providing immediate assistance until emergency services arrive.
- Enforce site policies and procedures to uphold safety standards at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in surveillance operations and loss prevention techniques.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security technology.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally.
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic first aid knowledge is highly desirable.
