Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Fish and Chip Shop Fryer to join our busy team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation with a focus on delivering high-quality fish, chips and other menu items. This role involves operating fryers, cleaning fryers, preparing fresh ingredients, maintaining food safety standards and hygiene in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience is essential to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer service, however training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate and filter fryers to cook fish, chips, and other menu items to perfection.
- Prepare fish and chicken for goujons/burgers
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including fryers, work surfaces, and utensils.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee consistent quality.
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory management of ingredients and supplies.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or contamination.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a fryer in a fish and chip shop or similar food establishment.
- Knowledge of food production processes, including food preparation and safety standards.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
