We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Team Leader to oversee daily production and re-packaging operations within our GMP-regulated environment. This is a hands on role where you will lead a team of operators, ensure production targets are achieved, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and support the efficient running of assembly and packaging activities.
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Key Skills
- Lead and supervise daily assembly and packaging operations, ensuring tasks are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Organise workflows and resources to achieve production targets and meet business priorities.
- Monitor and follow production schedules.
- Collect job bags and products from the warehouse as required.
- Ensure equipment and room usage is accurately recorded in logbooks.
- Prepare production packs in line with product scans and packaging instructions.
- Identify and report any concerns relating to falsified medicines.
- Coordinate packaging processes involving multiple leaflets and components.
- Complete assembly and disassembly tasks in accordance with batch packaging records.
- Ensure all batch documentation and production records are completed accurately and in real time.
- Transfer finished products and documentation to the designated QP release area.
- Work closely with the Production Manager regarding deviations and operational issues.
- Escalate any concerns that could affect GMP compliance or product quality.
- Liaise with Quality Control regarding quality-related matters.
- Promote and maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and GMP compliance within production areas.
- Ensure team members follow company procedures, gowning requirements, and break schedules.
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated production environment.
- Experience leading or supervising a team.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work to deadlines and production targets.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Experience within pharmaceutical packaging, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
- Understanding of batch documentation and quality systems.
