Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting healthy eating habits.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Monitor and record changes in clients' health and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with medication management as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a strong commitment to providing excellent care.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
- A valid driving licence may be beneficial for community-based roles but is not mandatory.
