Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Bank Care Assistant to join our team. This role offers flexible shifts to support care home residents and those receiving home care services. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality care, ensuring the well-being and comfort of individuals in their daily routines. Previous experience in care environments is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This paid position provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the health and social care sector.
Duties
- Provide personal care and support to clients in accordance with individual care plans
- Assist with daily activities such as washing, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
- Support clients in maintaining independence and dignity during daily routines
- Assist with light domestic tasks within the care environment or client’s home
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Skills
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Good IT skills for recording information accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and colleagues
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
