Job Overview:
The Stock Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in stock records, and maintaining efficient operations within the warehouse. This position plays a crucial role in maximising stock efficiency, reducing discrepancies, and supporting the overall supply chain to meet customer demands.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to meet business and customer needs.
- Regularly conduct stock counts and audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Update and manage inventory records in the company’s inventory management system.
- Stock Control and Organisation
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and organisation of stock to facilitate easy access and tracking.
- Develop and implement processes to minimize stock damage, loss, and expiration, where applicable.
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring efficient loading, unloading, and correct documentation.
- Order Processing
- Collaborate with the purchasing and sales teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Review sales forecasts and coordinate with purchasing to ensure product availability.
- Track backorders and follow up on pending orders to keep customers informed of potential delays.
- Reporting and Data Analysis
- Generate reports on stock levels, turnover, discrepancies, and other key metrics.
- Analyse stock data to identify trends, adjust reorder points, and improve inventory turnover.
- Work closely with finance and operations to provide insights into inventory valuation and stockholding costs.
- Quality and Compliance
- Ensure all stock management activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Conduct quality checks on incoming products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Maintain health and safety standards in the warehouse, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Team Management and Training
- Supervise warehouse staff involved in stock management activities.
- Train team members on best practices, safety procedures, and the use of inventory management systems.
- Foster a culture of accuracy and efficiency among the team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field (preferred)
Experience: 1+ years in stock or inventory management, ideally within a wholesale or distribution environment.

- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Punjabi or Urdu is preferred

Working Conditions:
- Primarily based in a warehouse
- Some lifting and moving of stock may be required.
- May involve occasional weekend or after-hours work, especially during high-demand periods.
