The Social Landlord Service is looking for and experienced floor layer who can demonstrate the ability to carry out out all aspects welded flooring (wet rooms), safety stair edging and transition areas. To apply latex and levelling compounds and associated products. To lift and reinstall and or complete or new installations to carpeted and hard floor areas within GYBC properties and associated tasks to maintain and improve council-owned properties and facilities.
The post holder will ensure all work is completed to a high standard, in line with health and safety regulations and customer service expectations.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced Flooring Specialist with expertise in fitting vinyl, safety flooring, carpets, and hard flooring, as well as subfloor preparation and flooring repairs. Skilled at working safely in occupied homes and public buildings while delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service to tenants, staff, and stakeholders. A proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to support wider maintenance tasks through broad trade knowledge.
