WHAT YOU WILL DO
The key responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:
- Managing the day-to-day operations and activities within the FB area ensuring the team deliver an exceptional hosted experience for our members.
- Provide direction to the restaurant team during service.
- Lead the team by example, adopting a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude
- Make sure the restaurant is set up and closed accurately and on time; cleaned, restocked and all mise-en-place is prepared and ready on time.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the entire restaurant menu.
- To proactively manage any member complaints ensuring we follow up so that our members and their guests leave happy with a positive dining experience and lasting impression.
- Help to achieve budgeted food and drink cost, sales, stock, labour costs and profitability.
- To be aware of our members who are drinking and / dining with us and ensure the bar team personally tailor their service appropriately.
- To be an ambassador for the club as well as someone who embodies our values and commitment to our teams both when at work and when not.
- To offer strong leadership, mentoring, and guidance to your team.
- To empower and mentor your team, nurturing a strong teamwork ethic
- Oversee creation and development of all training for your team and make sure all colleagues attend training.
- Support and answer questions and provide assistance to stakeholders, management and members as needed.
- Assist all members of the FB team to perform their roles, by providing training, solving problems, and removing obstacles.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience managing the food and beverage departments in a luxury / lifestyle food and beverage operation.
- You are an inspiring leader who relishes taking responsibility for running food and beverage teams and departments.
- Confident in using purchasing, health and safety and food safety, payroll and rota systems.
- Stays up to date with current food and beverage trends and best practices.
- Must be able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends due to the operational hours of the club.
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management and being front of house building relationships with our members.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting.
