Schedule: Flexible hours, including a couple of key closing shifts per week
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, experienced hospitality all-rounder with a heavy focus on bar operations to join our team at The Bunch of Grapes.
We’re a unique venue featuring a newly refurbished restaurant, a state-of-the-art kitchen, and our own on-site brewery crafting famous beers. While we take immense pride in our seasonal, big-flavor local food, we’re equally famous as a top-tier destination for drinks—cask, craft beer, fine wines, and spirits—whether guests are dining or just dropping in for a pint.
The Role This position is centered primarily around running the bar, delivering top-quality drink service, maintaining high operational standards, and handling a couple of key closing shifts each week (including lock-up and end-of-night procedures). Because we value versatile team members, you’ll also step into professional, friendly table service during busy food rushes when needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing bar flow during peak times with efficiency, speed, and consistency.
- Executing end-of-night closing routines, ensuring accurate record-keeping, secure lock-ups, and clean handovers.
- Serving our on-site brewed beers, cask ales, wines, and spirits with expert pour quality and product knowledge.
- Providing adaptable, warm, and professional floor service to diners and pub guests alike.
- Bringing creative ideas to the table to help improve menu offerings, bar setups, and daily workflows.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: At least 1 year in bartending, customer service, or high-level hospitality.
- Reliability: Confidence to take ownership of closing duties and maintain accurate records/cash handling.
- Adaptability: A team player happy to slide between high-volume bar service and friendly table service seamlessly.
- Passion & Drive: A genuine interest in great beer, local food, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Mindset: Inquisitive, detail-oriented, and keen to learn and input new ideas into how we work.
