We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Community Rehabilitation Team based at the Heavy Workshop, Bryn y Neuadd Hospital.
This unique role combines specialist neurorehabilitation practice within the community with the opportunity to support the development and delivery of rehabilitation programmes within our established Heavy Workshop service. The successful candidate will work closely with workshop staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure patients attending the workshop have meaningful, goal-focused rehabilitation plans that maximise independence, confidence and participation in everyday life.
The post holder will also carry a clinical caseload within the Arfon Community Team (CRT), with a particular focus on supporting individuals with neurological conditions. This provides an excellent opportunity to develop specialist skills in community neurorehabilitation, working with patients within their own homes and communities to optimise recovery and long-term self-management.
The successful candidate will be able to:
Autonomously assess for and provide comprehensive interventions for patients in specialist areas.
Provide supervision and support for junior colleagues.
Support the development of both the team and department as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
