About Us
Pont Y Gamlas Primary School is an exciting new school opening in September 2026, bringing together the communities of Monnow and Millbrook Primary Schools. We are committed to providing a safe, inspiring and inclusive environment where children can thrive.
We are now seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised School Premises, Facilities and Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring our new school operates effectively, safely and efficiently.
The Role
This is a key leadership role within the school, working closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and School Support Officer.
You will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the school, including:
Premises and site management- Health and safety compliance
- Facilities and property maintenance
- Management of contractors and service providers
- Security and key holding responsibilities
You will lead and manage site staff and ensure the school environment is safe, well-maintained and fit for purpose for all pupils, staff and visitors.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
Holds an NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in a relevant field- Has strong knowledge of health and safety procedures and compliance
- Has experience managing facilities or operations at a senior level
- Has experience leading and managing staff and contractors
- Is proactive, practical and solution-focused
- Has strong organisational and communication skills
Experience in a school environment is highly desirable.
