We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning & Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Shrewsbury on a full-time basis.
This is a highly rewarding role supporting children and young people with special educational needs, helping them to engage with learning, manage behaviour positively, and feel safe and supported throughout the school day.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual needs
- Supporting pupils with behaviour regulation, emotional needs, and social development
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and wider support staff
- Helping to create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements:
You must have relevant experience supporting children or young people with additional needs, gained through:
- Working in schools (mainstream or SEN)
- Care, support work, youth work, or residential settings
- Direct SEN experience in your current or previous role
- Personal experience supporting a family member or individual with SEN

Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:40am – 3:40pm
- Term time only
