Kinetic Youth is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Part-Time Youth Workers to join our established team at HMYOI Feltham.
Our youth work service operates seven days a week, with daytime, evening and weekend hours available. We have various working patterns to suit different experience, interests and availability.
The role
You will:
- Deliver engaging youth clubs, activities and projects.
- Work directly with young people aged 15–18.
- Build positive, professional and trusting relationships.
- Deliver one-to-one and group-based youth work.
- Support creative, recreational, educational and enrichment activities.
- Contribute to session planning, recording and evaluation.
- Work effectively with Kinetic colleagues and prison staff.
- Follow safeguarding, security and professional-boundary requirements.
About you
We are looking for people who are:
- Positive, patient, resilient and reliable.
- Confident communicating with young people from different backgrounds.
- Able to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Creative and enthusiastic about engaging young people.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Available for some daytime, evening and/or weekend work.
Youth work qualifications and experience of working with young people are desirable. Experience in a custodial setting is helpful but not essential, as training and support will be provided.
We are particularly interested in applicants with skills or interests in sport, music, art, wellbeing, life skills, informal education, mentoring or youth participation.

Hours: Various part-time hours
Pay: £13.07 - £17.83 depending on qualifications and experience.
All appointments are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, full prison vetting, satisfactory references and evidence of the right to work in the UK.
