Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Estate Worker and stockman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the grounds, assisting with livestock and animal care, and helping with the smooth operation of estate facilities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for farm, maintenance, and general outdoor work to contribute to the upkeep of a prestigious estate. The position is suitable for those who enjoy an active job and handling a wide variety of tasks.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a small team
- Caring for livestock
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on estate equipment, including power tools and mechanical systems
- Use hand tools and power tools safely for various tasks such repairs and construction
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks related to moving materials, furniture, or equipment around the estate
- Support general estate maintenance activities such as fencing repairs, equipment repair, or landscape enhancements
- Assist with some cleaning vehicles, pressure washing, and general presentational upkeep
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
Driving licence is essential
Experience/qualification in some or all of the below is desirable:
- Forestry and chainsaws
- Hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair
- Maintenance and DIY
- Care and handling of cattle and poultry
- Operation of ATVs (quad bikes and buggies)
- Fencing
- Groundworking equipment (excavators, dumpers)
- Telehandlers and tractors
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
