PDI Technician
Location: Tilbury, Essex
Shift: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30
Pay Rate: Up to £16.65 per hour
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing Work
We are currently recruiting for PDI Technicians to join a busy automotive operation in Tilbury. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified Vehicle Technicians to join a fast-paced environment carrying out pre-delivery inspections and vehicle preparation work prior to handover.
The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring vehicles meet the required standards before leaving site, carrying out inspections, checks, and reporting any defects identified.
The Role:
As a PDI Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on vehicles in line with company processes
- Completing safety checks, levels checks, and general vehicle inspections
- Identifying and reporting any vehicle defects or issues
- Completing inspection and workshop documentation accurately
- Ensuring vehicles meet customer and manufacturer standards before dispatch
- Working efficiently to achieve daily targets and deadlines
- Supporting the wider workshop team as required
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
The Person:
- Level 2 or Level 3 certificate in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous experience carrying out PDI inspections or vehicle preparation work
- Good understanding of vehicle systems and safety checks
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Positive and flexible attitude towards work
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
