Job Overview
English Marquee Company is looking for an experienced and reliable Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver to join our busy events team based in Ripon, North Yorkshire.
This is not a standard transport role. You'll be delivering marquee and event equipment to some of the UK's most prestigious venues, including royal palaces, stately homes, private estates and major festivals. Every day is different, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys responsibility and can work independently.
Responsibilities
- Safely deliver and collect marquee and event equipment across the UK.
- Plan your own routes to ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain your vehicle and company trailers to a high standard.
- Manoeuvre articulated vehicles safely into challenging locations.
- Ensure all equipment is transported securely to prevent damage.
- Represent English Marquee Company professionally when dealing with clients and venue staff.
- Assist with loading, unloading and supporting the wider team when required.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence.
- Confident driving articulated vehicles in a variety of locations.
- Excellent time management and route-planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
- Professional attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Reliable, hard-working and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
- Willingness to work long days and six-day weeks during busy periods.
Desirable:
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).

Pay: £35,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
