Job Summary
We are a busy pub and restaurant in the heart of East Lothian and we are looking for a skilled and experienced person to help us both refine and grow. The ideal candidate will come with a number of years management experience running front of house but also supporting the kitchen side, you must have bags of energy as this is a higher volume site and you will also be the face of the venue.
In return we offer a good salary as well as great working hours, we tend to not start too early and we are not a late night venue so are usually our the door by 11 or 12. Hours tend to be around 40 but sometimes toward 45 during busier weeks but not usually over this.
We already have a great team in place so looking for someone to bring it together.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and managing a motivated team. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including recruitment, training operational organisation, forward planning, hitting targets ect
- Lead and supervise staff, ensuring effective team management and fostering a positive working environment.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure efficient food production to meet customer demand.
- Implement training programmes to enhance staff skills in culinary techniques, customer service, and safety procedures.
- Monitor financial performance, control costs, and optimise operational efficiency.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on menu development and presentation standards.
- Uphold the restaurant’s brand standards through consistent quality control and service excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment in a leadership role.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster collaboration.
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of how to run and manage a busy venue
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of service.
