We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Support Worker to join our supported accommodation team in Birmingham. In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to residents living within our supported accommodations, helping them develop the skills needed to live independently.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the supported housing sector and a solid understanding of housing association frameworks and compliance paperwork. You will be responsible for conducting regular support sessions at our various properties, meaning daily travel is a core part of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Resident Support: Deliver tailored support sessions to residents, focusing on independent living skills, wellbeing, and community integration.
- Housing Paperwork & Compliance: Manage and complete essential housing association documentation, including applications and compliance paperwork for providers such as Reliance, Windrush, and Concept.
- Property Visits: Commute daily between various HMO properties across Birmingham to conduct face-to-face support sessions.
- Risk Assessments & Support Plans: Create, update, and maintain accurate support plans and risk assessments for all residents.
- Liaison: Act as a point of contact between residents, housing associations, and external support agencies.
Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Experience: Proven experience working as a Support Worker within supported accommodation or HMO environments.
- Sector Knowledge: Familiarity and hands-on experience with housing association paperwork (specifically Reliance, Windrush, Concept, or similar providers).
- Driving Licence: A Full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable car for daily commuting between properties.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for administrative tasks and resident interaction.
- Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
