Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Est. 2018 Playtimes Sensory Classes and Playtown Role Play have a background in providing quality immersive environments for early years ages and stages.
In this role, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children to explore, learn, and grow. Your enthusiasm and leadership will inspire children’s development while fostering positive relationships with families and colleagues alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children during their formative years.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s developmental milestones across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains
- Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being within the nursery environment
- Build strong relationships with children to promote confidence, independence, and curiosity
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s progress, needs, and achievements
- Lead and support team members by sharing best practices in childcare and early childhood education
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating nursery environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance tracking, and activity planning
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
- Strong management and leadership abilities to guide both children and team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
- Deep understanding of childcare principles and early childhood education methodologies
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and enthusiasm in caring for young children
- Valid driving license is preferred for transporting children or attending off-site activities
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to childcare environments
