Job Summary:
Braintree Corps is seeking a dynamic and committed Christian to join our team as Community Mission Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and delivering mission and ministry activities that support people of all ages and backgrounds to experience community, belonging and the transforming love of Jesus.
Working alongside the Corps Leadership Team, volunteers, divisional colleagues and local partners, you will help lead a programme of worship, discipleship, pastoral care and community engagement that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families within Braintree.
Key Responsibilities:

To support the development and delivery of the corps' spiritual and mission programme.

Facilitate Christian discipleship, worship activities and social action initiatives.

Provide pastoral care and support to individuals and families where appropriate.

Lead and support volunteers in delivering mission and community activities.

Develop positive partnerships with local churches, schools, statutory agencies and community organisations.

Create welcoming environments where all people can engage with activities and access support.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they:

Have a vibrant Christian faith and are actively involved in a church community.

Have experience of community development or a related field.

Can build effective relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.

Have strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.

Have the ability to motivate, support and develop volunteers.
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian, actively involved in their own church and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
