Food Preparation & Support
- Assist chefs and cooks in the preparation of meals, snacks, and beverages.
- Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients as instructed.
- Prepare simple dishes and assist with plating and serving meals.
- Ensure meals are prepared according to dietary requirements and care plans
Kitchen Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely.
- Follow infection control, food hygiene, and health & safety policies.
- Ensure safe storage of food items, including checking dates and proper refrigeration.
Serving & Meal Assistance
- Assist in serving meals to residents, ensuring portions are correct and presentation is maintained.
- Support residents during mealtimes where necessary, including hydration or assistance with feeding.
- Clean and reset dining areas after meals, ensuring the environment is safe and tidy.
Stock & Inventory Support
Help monitor kitchen stock levels of ingredients, supplies, and utensils.Assist in unpacking deliveries and storing items appropriately. Report shortages, damaged items, or equipment faults to the chef or kitchen supervisor.
Teamwork & Communication
Work collaboratively with chef sand care staff to ensure smooth meal service
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
