Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our team. You will be a qualified practitioner with experience in a nursery or preschool environment. You will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, ensuring their development and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and manage activities effectively.
Term time position, starting at 9am. September 2026 start date. See below for work pattern.
Duties
- Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Supervise and support children in their daily routines, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting open communication and collaboration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Assess children's progress through observation and documentation, providing feedback to parents as necessary. You will have your own key children.
- Collaborate with team members to plan events, outings, and special activities that enhance the children's learning experience.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or preschool is essential.
- A min Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Work pattern
- Term time role - 38 weeks of the year
- Monday 9am - 4pm, Tuesday to Friday 9am - 2pm

We are a preschool, looking after children aged 2+ years, located in the heart of West Byfleet, close to the train station. We have recently had our Ofsted Inspection and gained three strong and three expected ratings under the new framework.
