About the role
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across the development team, helping to design, develop and deploy scalable software solutions. You’ll work with technologies including C#.NET, VB.NET, AWS, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Kubernetes, Docker and RDS, while collaborating with Product Managers, Architects and stakeholders to shape technical solutions and deliver high-quality software.
You will be responsible for
Leading the design, development and deployment of scalable software solutions across the organisation.
Providing technical guidance, support and mentoring to the development team.
Working with stakeholders to define requirements, estimate work and prioritise development activities.
Reviewing code and maintain high standards across quality, security, performance and scalability.
Troubleshooting complex technical issues, manage risks and drive continuous improvement across the team.
About you
You are an experienced software development professional with a strong track record of delivering complex enterprise applications and designing secure, scalable and maintainable solutions. You bring strong knowledge of modern programming languages, frameworks, cloud-native technologies and software engineering practices, including CI/CD, testing, code quality and DevOps.
You are a confident technical leader who can set direction, make sound decisions and constructively challenge when needed. Comfortable working in Agile, multi-team environments, you collaborate effectively with engineers, stakeholders and cross-functional teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes. You’ll also have experience mentoring and developing engineers, analysing existing systems and identifying practical, context-sensitive solutions, with a strong focus on security, performance, reliability and continuous improvement.
