Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Experienced Workshop Controller to lead our KIA service workshop operations. In this vital role, you will oversee daily workshop activities, coordinate repairs and maintenance, and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Your mechanical knowledge and leadership skills will drive smooth workflow processes, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily scheduling and workflow of the workshop team to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Oversee repair and maintenance activities, ensuring all work is completed accurately and within specified timeframes
- Coordinate with technicians to allocate tasks based on skill levels and workload demands
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and quality control procedures
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status, repairs needed, and estimated completion times
- Maintain detailed records of work orders, parts used, and service history for each vehicle
- Support the development of team members through coaching on technical procedures and best practices
Experience
- Proven experience as a workshop controller or similar supervisory role within an automotive service environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for vehicle repairs
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service and technical quality
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and safety regulations is highly desirable

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
