Tile Centre is a reputable family run company based in Blackburn and Burnley that specialise in the design, sale and installation of Tiles, Bathrooms and Kitchens.
We are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic "Online Sales Assistant" for our online business.
This is an online sales position for 5 days a week. The hours are 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday with alternate Saturdays. The week that you work Saturday, you will get 1 day off during the weekdays. Sundays are always off.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Handling all incoming customer orders, queries and questions (via phone, email and web chat)
- Ensuring that the clients’ requests and issues are accurately comprehended by confirming and clarifying information
- Providing the appropriate service and information
- Providing quotations and checking product availability
- Picking and Packing samples for sample orders only (full goods orders are picked and packed by warehoused team)
- Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the company’s products or services to advise and make suitable recommendations to customers
- Selling products or services and taking payments (handling payment transactions)
- Tracking orders, resolving customer complaints and issuing refunds
- Communicating with customers before and after a sale
- Reporting any inventory or service issues to management
- Maintaining an accurate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database by entering and updating client information
- Adhering to company’s policies and procedures at all times when assisting customers
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure the customers have an excellent online shopping experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal communication skills to clearly share and relay information
- The ability to actively listen to customers so they can adequately gauge and address their needs
- The ability to remain calm and polite when dealing with complaints or challenging clients
- Good interpersonal skills to establish a positive rapport with clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to correctly identify issues and determine the most effective solutions
- Computer literacy
- Good command of the English language
- Good mathematical skills
- The ability to work well in a team
- The ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure
