Location: Thames Valley Region
We are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to join our Infrastructure team, delivering AMP8 water and wastewater projects across multiple sites. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a substantial programme of treatment works, ranging from capital maintenance schemes through to complex multi-disciplinary upgrades.
Working as part of a collaborative project team, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of site works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards of quality. You'll work closely with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors and designers, supporting the successful delivery of civil, mechanical, electrical and ICA works within live operational environments.
Key Duties
- Take responsibility for the technical delivery of site works, including setting out, surveying, engineering control and ensuring works are completed in accordance with contract specifications, drawings and programme requirements.
- Promote the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance, maintaining accurate site records, inspections, testing documentation and as-built information.
- Coordinate site activities with project teams, subcontractors and designers, ensuring efficient delivery whilst maintaining strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Support project planning, commercial activities and programme management through accurate site reporting, labour records, completed works and technical information.
- Drive continuous improvement by promoting best practice, digital engineering tools and efficient construction methodologies, whilst mentoring Graduate and Trainee Engineers where appropriate.
About You
You will be an enthusiastic and technically capable Site Engineer with experience delivering civil engineering projects within a principal contractor environment.
You will bring:
- A Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline.
- Experience working as a Site Engineer within the civil engineering, infrastructure or water sector.
- Strong knowledge of setting out, surveying techniques, construction methods and quality assurance processes.
- A good understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality standards, together with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A CSCS Card appropriate to the role and a full UK driving licence. SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid, Temporary Works and water sector experience would be advantageous.
